• Excursion to Pillnitz castle (Schloss Pillnitz) and Königstein Fortress (Festung Königstein)

Enjoy a boat trip to Pillnitz castle. We thank Invitrogen Inc. for sponsoring the boat trip.
Due to the limited capacity on the boats an early registration is highly recommended - otherwise busses will take you to Pillnitz Castle.
After a guided tour around the castle busses will take you to Festung Königstein. There is an artistic programme and snacks will be offered.

		From exotic pleasure palace to summer residence The Pillnitz castle arrangement is an exceptional ensemble of architecture and garden design integrated into the river landscape before the vineyards of the Elbe valley. Under the influence of East Asian fashion, the cornerstone for one of the most important examples of chinoiserie architecture in Europe was laid in the early 18th century with the construction of the water and mountain palace. 21:00 First bus will return to Dresden, last bus at 23:00
